If you add web tracking analytics to an agency website, you must statutorily create a pop-up notice (modal) on the website informing visitors that it is collecting their data. The modal must link to a page on the site stating how and why we collect the data. SITSD has created a template for you for both the modal and the approved language for the legal notice page. Using Google Analytics
The State of Montana is moving to Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Google Analytics is a web analytics service that provides statistics and basic analytical tools for search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing purposes. The service is part of the Google Marketing Platform and is available for free to anyone with a Google account.
